Let the mind and heart add a deep breath to moments of stress

When I’ve been tossed in a rough sea of events (perhaps a personal storm), I’ve decided it is beneficial to take ample time to pause and observe the situation. I choose the tone I wish to see, such as: How do I get to peace from here? What do I really desire in this situation? … Or ask, Is there more I need to see—like the why something may bother me. Is there an unbeneficial belief within me? If so, it’ll most likely need to be seen in better light, with more truth, or a there may be a lesson to learn.
I think about how to come from love and light, (not fear).
When this practice is done through the eyes of love, or with being more centered, a better direction is available. Healing will occur if this is sought; tweaking even the smallest of thorns feels good and can open new vibrations of joy within.
When positive intentions are directed well and clear enough, better directions to choose become clearer. It’s interesting, as often with the process, breathing and relaxation are also nearby, and feelings of peace and understanding.
Using the mind and heart to discern the storm into practical parts, other points of view, and more kind actions brings in peace. (I like peace.)
Each challenge has at least equal positive opportunity. I like opportunities too, and finding better ways to move within this life helps not only me, but greater love, joy, or peace to flow out to those I love and interact with, and yes, the ripples continue to be kind to others and the earth too.
